Seneca Resorts & Casinos appoints new corporate leadership positions

The new roles include a chief strategy officer, a corporate vice president, and a vice president of corporate security with expanded responsibilities.

US.- Seneca Resorts & Casinos has appointed four team members to key corporate leadership positions. The new roles include a chief strategy officer, a senior vice president of food and beverage, a corporate vice president of food and beverage, and a vice president of corporate security with expanded responsibilities for various properties.

Joanne Israel, most recently general manager at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino, has been named chief strategy officer. Linda Hitchcock, most recently general manager at Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino, has been named senior vice president of food and beverage, and Chama Darcy, most recently executive director of hotel operations at Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino, will be corporate vice president of food and beverage. Peter Maybee, vice president of corporate security, has had his responsibilities expanded to include oversight of security strategy at all three of the company’s properties.

The company stated that the new appointments are part of its new Centers of Excellence model. All four are enrolled members of the Seneca Nation.

Israel joined Seneca Resorts & Casinos in 2011 and has held numerous leadership roles. She was named general manager at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino in 2022. She also served as assistant general manager of Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino, general manager of Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino, corporate director of finance, and casino controller.

Hitchcock joined Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino when the property opened in 2004, and served as general manager since 2018. She has held leadership roles at the company’s three properties, including general manager at Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino, vice president of food and beverage and resorts, vice president of food and beverage, and director of restaurants and catering at Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino, and director of food and beverage at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino.

Chama Darcy joined the company in 2006 with more than a decade of national and international experience working in New York, California, Florida, and Mexico. She served as beverage and remote outlet manager at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino, director of hospitality at Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino, and executive director of hotel operations at Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino.

Maybee joined the company in 2013, overseeing security operations at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino and Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino. Previously, he served 20 years with the US Department of Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs.

Seneca Resorts & Casinos consists of three gaming and resort facilities in New York, including Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino in Niagara Falls, Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino in downtown Buffalo, and Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino in Salamanca. It also has the Seneca Hickory Stick Golf Course in Lewiston.
