Lisbon.- The 2025 edition of SBC Summit Lisbon closed its doors after three days of record‑breaking activity, confirming its place as one of the world’s leading events for the igaming industry. Held at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa from September 16 to 18, the event welcomed more than 30,000 delegates and featured 700 exhibitors, all spread across five expansive exhibition zones dedicated to sports betting, casino and igaming, payments and compliance, marketing and media, and emerging tech.

Throughout the three days of the event, attendees were not only able to learn about the latest developments and solutions from leading companies in the sector but also attended debates and conferences where they discussed regulatory developments, innovation in sports betting, payments, compliance, AI and the evolution of responsible gambling practices.

Networking and key conversations

Focus Gaming News spoke with representatives from leading companies such as 7777 gaming, 1xBet, Boomerang Partners, CreedRoomz, Frogo, GR8 Tech and TaDa Gaming who shared their impressions of the event.

For many, the business potential stood out above everything else. Bryam Jacquet, general manager at TaDa Gaming, highlighted the event’s importance: “SBC has become the key exhibition. It’s one of the most important places to be. We had the chance to meet all our clients, and we’re extremely happy with the organisation.”

Similarly, Izabel Hakim, head project manager at 7777 gaming, pointed to the visibility the event offered: “SBC Summit Lisbon exceeded our expectations in terms of networking and exposure. It was one of the most valuable events of the year for our team.”

For Simon Westbury, strategic advisor at 1xBet, the value of the event was clear: “Content is still king, and SBC managed to create a successful exhibition. It’s the gaming family coming together here.”

Xyrylo Topalov, head of sales at Frogo, noted the high-level networking opportunities: “It was one of the greatest events. We had many discussions with CEOs, CTOs, chiefs of product. The data we can provide is relevant across departments, and this cooperation helps us better support our customers.”

Anton Eshtokin, CMO at Boomerang Partners, said: “At the core of our identity is our sports-first DNA, and as you know, SBC was originally highly relevant to sports, and that’s why this event is one of the most important for us!”

Hovahnes Tadevosyan, head of marketing at CreedRoomz, reflected on the event’s growth: “The exhibition was great. We had very productive meetings, built new connections, and met with friends. SBC is getting bigger every year.”

Sergey Ghazaryan, CRO at GR8 Tech, praised the atmosphere: “I enjoyed the organisation — you could feel it in the energy of people walking around and visiting booths. We met many clients and potential clients. A great show overall!”

Beyond the exhibition floor

SBC Summit Lisbon 2025 also offered a rich social agenda that went beyond business meetings. Highlights included the Legends Charity Football Game, which brought nostalgia to Lisbon and international attention abroad. Meanwhile, informal evening parties created further opportunities for networking, giving participants a chance to connect in a more relaxed setting after the busy conference days.

SBC Awards Lisbon 2025: Celebrating excellence in the industry

The event concluded with the prestigious SBC Awards, recognising companies and people that have made outstanding contributions to the betting and gaming industry. The ceremony highlighted achievements across multiple categories, from innovation in technology to leadership in responsible gambling, further underlining the summit’s role as a platform to celebrate progress and excellence within the sector.

The evening was hosted by legendary goalkeeper and Dutch international Edwin Van Der Sar, who presented 37 awards in front of a 1,200-strong audience of industry leaders and stakeholders.

Among the winners, 1xBet was awarded Marketing Campaign of the Year, while Boomerang Partners was named Rising Star in Sports Betting. Shining a light on exceptional leadership and workplace culture, SOFTSWISS was once again crowned Employer of the Year, while the prestigious Leader of the Year award was jointly presented to Natalia Nogues (Control F5) and Vigen Badalyan (BetConstruct)

In the supplier categories, BetConstruct enjoyed further recognition, collecting the award for White Label Supplier of the Year. EveryMatrix successfully defended its title as Multi-Channel Supplier of the Year while also picking up the Socially Responsible Initiative of the Year award. 

Sportradar underlined its dominance with wins for both Sports Data Product and Land-Based Betting & Gaming Product. On the casino side, Pragmatic Play was recognised as Slots Developer of the Year – Large, while BGaming took home the honour for Slots Developer of the Year – Medium category.

BETBY received the title of Esports Supplier of the Year, while DATA.BET was named Rising Star in Sports Betting Innovation / Software. FeedConstruct secured the award for Live Betting Product, and GR8 Tech was recognised as Platform Provider of the Year. In the casino segment, Soft2Bet (MEGA) took home the award for Innovation in Casino Entertainment.
