San Diego Police Department seizes unlicensed gambling machines

Police seized over 60 gambling machines in San Diego and Chula Vista.

US.- The San Diego Police Department in California has seized over 60 unlicensed gambling machines in the City of San Diego and Chula Vista following an investigation into an alleged illegal gambling operation.

According to CBS8, officers detained people and seized 23 illegal gambling machines, money, and illicit narcotics at 4835 El Cajon Boulevard. A second search took place at a storage facility at 1160 3rd Avenue in Chula Vista, where police seized 30 gambling machines and money.

The San Diego Police Department said the seizure of narcotics underscored broader public-safety concerns associated with the illegal venues.

Earlier this year, the San Diego Police Department closed alleged illegal gambling venues and seized gambling machines at Rocky’s Market, in the City Heights area.
