Rivalry applies for sports betting licence in Ontario
The firm has submitted an application with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
Canada.- Sports betting and media company Rivalry has announced that it has applied to become a fully registered operator for sports betting and internet gaming in the province of Ontario. The firm has submitted an application for a sports betting and Internet gaming licence with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO)
If Rivalry’s license is approved, iGaming Ontario will issue a registration. The Ontario government created iGaming Ontario as a subsidiary of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) to offer and manage online gaming and newly legalised single-event sports betting.
The subsidiary is responsible for managing and conducting Internet gaming operations offered by private companies.
Rivalry expects to start esports, sports betting and igaming operations in the province in the first half of 2022.
