Relevo brand integrated into iGaming.com Group

Spain.- Relevo, the Spanish sports outlet whose move into iGaming.com Group was announced in August 2026, now runs on a different model from the one it launched with. “Relevo operates under a different structure from the previous project,” said Andreas Ditsche, CEO of iGaming.com Group. “Its editorial team is supported by iGaming.com Group’s technology, data and operational capabilities, while responsibility for editorial decisions remains with the newsroom. This gives us a scalable structure that allows us to strengthen the publication as its audience and coverage develop, with the objective of building a high-quality and financially sustainable media brand over the long term.”

The outlet publishes at Relevo.com and came into the group’s portfolio with its domain, its published archive and its social accounts. iGaming.com Group is an international digital media group that employs close to 300 people across several markets. Vocento, the publisher that founded Relevo in 2022, retains no stake in it and no say in either editorial or commercial matters.

Spain as a long-term market

Ditsche presented the investment as a long-term commitment to the Spanish market. “Spain is an important long-term market for iGaming.com Group, and Relevo gives us the opportunity to invest in an established Spanish media brand with a strong editorial identity and an existing relationship with sports audiences,” he said.

Relevo gives the group a Spanish-language sports title with a readership of its own, and it is meant to anchor the group’s presence in Spain for years rather than a single season. Since 2022 the name has built a following among Spanish sports readers, and that standing came across with the domain.

A full season under the new structure

Football and basketball lead the reporting, with cycling, motorsport and the big international fixtures behind them. The 2026-27 season, already several match weeks old, is the first championship the outlet will cover end to end inside the group. Decisions on what to publish and how to treat each subject rest with the editors alone, the newsroom has said in writing, and the group expects the team to grow as coverage and formats expand. Other publishers are drawing the same line: when Focus Gaming News turned a decade of its own reporting into an AI research tool, its leadership described the technology as support for the journalists rather than a substitute for them.

Hiring has not finished. “Relevo has a team of editors supported by specialist contributors and freelance journalists with expertise across different sports,” Ditsche said. “Recruitment remains open as we continue to expand the editorial team.”
