Regulator warns of fake Arizona casino websites
The Arizona Department of Gaming says fraudulent operators are using the names of Arizona casinos.
US.- The Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG) has issued a consumer protection alert warning about fraudulent online gaming operators. It says it has received complaints about online platforms falsely claiming to be connected to licensed Arizona casinos.
It said: “These scams are being widely disseminated through social media advertisements directing consumers to download apps and visit websites, and are enticing unsuspecting consumers to spend money on illegitimate games.”
It added: “Any claims otherwise should be treated as highly suspicious. These scams not only put players at financial risk, but also undermine the integrity of Arizona’s regulated gaming industry.”
The Arizona Department of Gaming urged residents to verify the legitimacy of any online gaming platform before engaging in play. Its website provides a list of all regulated casinos and licensed event wagering and fantasy sports operators in Arizona.
