PrizePicks gains gaming licences in Puerto Rico and Maine
The company will operate in 47 jurisdictions in the US.
US.- The daily fantasy sports operator PrizePicks has secured gaming licences in Puerto Rico and in Maine. It’s already live in Maine and expects to go live in Puerto Rico, its 47th US jurisdiction, in the coming months. It said it’s the first daily fantasy sports operator to obtain a licence on the island.
Adam Packer, senior vice president of legal and compliance at PrizePicks, said: “We’re grateful to the Puerto Rico Gaming Commission and the Maine Gambling Control Unit for their partnership and support throughout the licensure process. We’ve seen tremendous engagement with Arena across the country, and we’re confident that momentum will carry into these new jurisdictions.”
The company has signed a multi-year deal to become the Los Angeles Dodgers‘ Official Daily Fantasy Sports Partner and a partnership with the Houston Astros. It’s also received Internet Compliance Assessment Program (iCAP) accreditation from the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG).
