Poker revenue falls in New Jersey
The poker market in New Jersey registered a 10.5 per cent decrease last month when compared to 2017.
US.- According to numbers released by New Jersey casino regulators, poker has been falling significantly in the state. April saw market revenue decrease 9.5 per cent to US$4.3 million, approximately US$400k less than last year.
While both live and online poker revenues were down, the latter registered a 10.5 per cent decrease to US$1.7 million, which is US$200k less than what was reported during the same period a year ago. Live poker revenue fell to US$2.5 million, a 8.8 per cent decrease from the US$2.8 million registered last year.
While the poker sector decreased its numbers, overall iGaming revenue reached US$23 million in April and grew 10.6 per cent year-on-year. Monthly revenue was led by online casinos, which enjoyed a 12.7 per cent rise year-on-year to US$21.25 million.
