The company has launched after receiving approval from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

Canada.- Pinnacle Sports has launched sports and esports betting in the regulated Ontario market following its approval from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). It plans to add online casino games in the near future.

The Pinnacle.ca site allows consumers to wager on major North American sports events, including the National Football League (NFL) and the Canadian Football League. Meanwhile, the operators’ B2B arm Pinnacle Solution has been approved for gaming supplier registration, allowing Pinnacle to service Ontario sportsbooks with its trading and risk management services.

Pinnacle CEO Paris Smith said: “We want to give our customers a true and unique betting experience. At Pinnacle.ca, that means great odds on the sports Ontario bettors care about, a strong focus on responsible gambling, and the welcoming of both recreational customers and the sharpest professionals around.”

Ontario’s quarterly igaming handle hits CA$6bn

iGaming Ontario (iGO) has released its second public report of market performance since the province’s online gaming market launched on April 4. The report covers the second full quarter of market operations, ending on September 30. Revenue for the period was CA$267m from wagers of $6.04bn.

The handle was up 48 per cent increase from the previous quarter’s CA$4.07bn. Revenue was up 65 per cent from CA$162m.
