Pennsylvania’s Happy Valley Casino to open in April
The new venue will feature 30 table games.
US.- Happy Valley Casino in Pennsylvania will open in April 2026. Located at the Nittany Mall in State College, it will have 30 table games, over 700 slot machines and a full-service restaurant.
The casino floor will have 16 blackjack tables, three for roulette and two each for craps, mini baccarat and Ultimate Texas Hold’em. The gaming floor will also have Spanish 21, three card poker, face up pai gow poker, Mississippi stud and pai gow poker.
Happy Valley Casino will employ almost 300 people. It will also host a 12-week dealer school, with no experience required.
Eric Pearson, CEO and general manager, said: “The project’s been taking a long time to get to this point, and so we’re happy to be so close to actually opening the doors.”
Meanwhile, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has voted to renew the Category 4 Satellite casino licence of Hollywood Casino Morgantown in Berks County for a five-year period. The board determined that Mountainview Thoroughbred Racing Association, the casino’s operator, had fulfilled the initial licence’s obligations and qualified to receive the renewal.
It also voted to renew the Category 1 horse track casino licence of PID, LLC, operator of Presque Isle Downs and Casino in Erie County. The licence has been renewed for a five-year period.
