Pennsylvania gaming regulator fines three operators

The fines were received by Mountainview Thoroughbred Racing Association, Presque Isle Downs and Casino, and Chester Downs and Marina.

US.- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has approved four consent agreements between the PGCB’s Office of Enforcement Counsel and three casino operators, resulting in a total of $150,000 in fines.

Mountainview Thoroughbred Racing Association, which operates Penn National Gaming’s Hollywood Casino and Barstool Sportsbook brands, was fined $57,500 for letting self-excluded individuals place wagers. The operator permitted nine individuals listed under the board’s Voluntary iGaming Self-Exclusion List to access casino-type gaming or sports wagering.

The business also received a $25,000 fine for allowing minors to gamble on the casino floor. When four minors aged 16, 17, 18, and 19 tried to access the venue, two entered and one used a slot machine.

Presque Isle Downs and Casino received a $45,000 fine for violation of the state’s Covid-19 safety order with regard to alcohol service. Chester Downs and Marina, the licensee for Caesars-operated Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino and Racetrack, was fined $22,500 for failure to protect assets.
