Pennsylvania casinos approved to offer online gaming

The local regulator awarded online gaming certificates to three casino licence holders.

US.- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) revealed that it awarded Interactive Gaming Certificates to three casino license holders. The local gaming regulator still has to establish when they will be able to start operating online gaming in the state.

The approvals were the first made by the Board for Interactive Gaming in its plan to consider all nine petition requests by casino operators at its public meetings that will take place in August, September and two in October 2018.

The casinos that gained approval were Chester Downs and Marina, LLC, operator Harrah’s Casino Philadelphia, Greenwood Gaming & Entertainment, Inc., operator of the Parx and Mount Airy #1, LLC, operator of the Mount Airy Resort Casino.

The board said that the licence fee for each of these approved certificates is US$10 million and is due no later than 60 days after the Board approvals, which was made on August 15th. All three holders can conduct Non-Peer-to-Peer interactive games which simulate slot machines; Non-Peer-to-Peer interactive games which simulate table games; and Peer-to-Peer interactive games which simulate poker.
