Parq Vancouver opened its doors
The casino that held its opening on Friday has become the biggest gambling facility in Vancouver.
Canada.- The US$700 million casino Parq Vancouver finally opened its doors on Friday, with executives and dignitaries who gathered to celebrate the biggest gambling facility in the Canadian city Vancouver.
The casino that was initially supposed to open its doors to the public in 2016 features a 72.000 square foot gaming floor, double in size of the Edgewater Casino across the street. The gaming facility offers 1500 slot machines and 150 gaming tables, up from the 600 slots and 75 tables offered at Edgewater. Moreover Parq has a specialised poker room and a high-limits slots space. The facility features two hotels: JW Marriot and Douglas, 517 rooms between both of them, eight restaurants as well as the city’s largest ballroom.
Scott Menke, co-founder of Paragon Gaming, said: “This entertainment or stadium district as we now know it, I think will be changed. Customers coming for any of the three sports teams, entertainment, or meetings, will have an elevated experience.”
Parq Vancouver is now the largest private development in British Columbia. The Park, a sixth-floor 30,000 square foot outdoor space features 200 native pines and culinary options as well.
