Paddy Power says the upgrades will be complete by the end of 2022 trading.

The bookmaker will install new digital displays across 40 of its betting shops in the UK and Ireland.

UK.- The Flutter-owned bookmaker Paddy Power has announced plans to update more than 40 of its retail betting shops in the UK and Ireland with digital displays provided by BoscaSports.

The upgrades will be complete by the end of 2022 trading, the bookmaker said.

BoscaSports provides integrated sports display solutions to retail outlets including betting shops and racecourses. Other customers include the UK Tote, Britbet, Tote Ireland and MST in Italy.

Simon Charnock, director of product at Flutter UK&IRE, said: “We will be introducing BoscaSport’s digital offering in some new shops and those that are being refitted or retro-fitted throughout the year.

“The shops, which include Manchester’s Piccadilly Plaza, Leeds City Centre and Hammersmith, will feature a mix of BoscaSport’s upgraded passive screens and new interactive screens.”

BoscaSports’ founder and product director, Fergal Downey, said: “We’re delighted to be undertaking such a significant further deployment with Paddy Power.

“They have always led the market in innovation, and this is another example of that. We are looking forward to further developing our product offering with such a forward-thinking operator.”

In December, Paddy Power fell foul of the UK Advertising Standard Authority for offering “risk-free bets”. Online ads that ran in The Sun newspaper in the UK and Ireland had offered players a “£20 risk-free first bet”.
