Online gambling revenue in Michigan grew 43 per cent month-on-month to $127.7m.
US.- Online gambling in Michigan generated $127.7m in revenue in March, a rise of 43 per cent from February.
The uptick has been a constant since the beginning of the year, with Michigan becoming one of the largest online gambling markets in the US, according to analysts.
Igaming generated revenues of $95m and online sports betting accounted for $32.6m.
Entain and MGM Resorts’ BetMGM led the pack again, accounting for 30.9 per cent of revenue, followed by Flutter’s FanDuel.
The share of the online sports betting handle was led by FanDuel, with 30 per cent of the handle, followed by BetMGM with 26 per cent. DraftKings accounted for 21 per cent.
Online gambling in Michigan: current status
Online gambling was legalised in Michigan in 2019. Inter-state online poker was recently added to the list of permitted games.
A number of new platforms have been authorised to operate in the state since the legalisation of the activity. The most recent is Pala Interactive, which received the green light from the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) to launch its platform in the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians’ Fours Winds Casinos in February.
The state has recently seen a bill introduced which would extend lottery winner anonymity to multi-state lottery draws.
