Days before the Super Bowl, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has announced a five-year deal with the National Football league.

Canada.- The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has signed a five-year deal to become the first official sportsbook partner of the NFL in Ontario and Canada ahead of Sunday’s Super Bowl.

OLG.ca and NFL’s digital platforms will broadcast exclusive football content. Meanwhile, unique offers will be available to Ontarian bettors through OLG’s Proline+ digital platform.

Dave Pridmore, OLG’s chief digital and strategy officer, said: “We are so excited to announce this partnership given that Proline is the only platform for sports bettors in Ontario to place legal, single event wagers and other exciting bets on the Super Bowl at both retail outlets and online at Proline+.

“This exciting collaboration with a world-class organization like the NFL creates new sports entertainment experiences that give sports fans all across the province an incredible opportunity to get closer to the sport they love through exclusive, one-of-a-kind gameplay.”

Gavin Kemp, NFL director of corporate partnerships, added: “As the sports betting landscape continues to evolve, we are excited to partner with OLG in Ontario with the opening of the sports betting market in Canada.

“OLG will bring NFL fans in the province a whole new experience in sports gaming entertainment. We look forward to working together to create new responsible and innovative ways for football fans to share in the action of the NFL.”

iGaming Ontario (iGO), a subsidiary of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (ACGO), announced in January that the Canadian province of Ontario will open its legal igaming market on April 4. Approved operators will need to sign off on an operating agreement with iGO before they will be able to launch. Igaming was originally expected to be operational in December 2021.

Rivalry has been approved to become one of the first fully registered operators of igaming and sports betting in Ontario. Approved by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), the company will be able to start operating when Ontario´s online gaming market officially starts on April 4.
