Ohio casinos and racinos take in $192.7m in October

The Ohio Casino Control Commission has released last month’s revenue figures, and they are up 14% from the same period last year.

US.- The Ohio Casino Control Commission has reported that the state’s eleven licensed casinos and racinos brought in more than $192.7m in October. That was down slightly from September’s figures ($185.3m), but up 14 per cent over October 2020 ($169.1m).

The Ohio Casino Control Commission regulates four casinos that run table games, poker rooms, and slot machines. Meanwhile, the Ohio Lottery regulates the state’s seven racinos which run video lottery terminals. Revenue figures reported to the commission by the racinos only include revenues generated by these video terminals. Racing revenues are reported to the state racing commission.

Statewide, Ohio four casinos pulled in $81m in total revenue, $24.4m came from table games and $56.5 from slots. Meanwhile, Ohio seven racinos brought in $111.8m in slots.

Casinos

JACK Cleveland Casino’s revenue was $21.5m; Hollywood Columbus came second with $21.5m; in third place came Hard Rock Cincinnati Casino with $19.3m; and the fourth place was for Hollywood Toledo, with $18.7m.

Casinos total revenue wasn’t only up from October 2020 figures ($74.8m), but also exceeded pre-pandemic numbers, October 2019 casino revenue was $68.8m.

Racinos

MGM Northfield Park topped the ranking by pulling in $23.7m in slot revenue; in second place came Scioto Downs with $19.3m; then Miami Valley Gaming with $18.4m; JACK Thistledown Racino came in fourth with $16.5m; Hollywood Mahoning Valley pulled in $13.4m; Hollywood Dayton came sixth with $12.4m, and the last place was for Belterra Park with $8.1m.
