Oddsgate to host webinar on supplier authorisation under Brazil’s betting regulation
The online event will discuss the implications of Public Consultation No. 1/2026 launched by Secretaria de Prêmios e Apostas, focusing on the future authorisation framework for B2B providers in Brazil’s regulated betting market.
Press release.- The publication of Public Consultation Notice No. 1/2026 by the Secretaria de Prêmios e Apostas (SPA) of the Ministry of Finance of Brazil marks another step in consolidating the regulatory framework for Brazil’s betting sector. The initiative invites contributions from civil society and industry stakeholders on guidelines to recognise the technical and operational capacity of service providers supporting fixed-odds betting operators.
Against this backdrop, Oddsgate will host the webinar “B2B on SPA’s Radar: The Role of Suppliers in the Regulatory Process” on March 18 at 7 p.m. (Brasília time). The free online event will bring together industry specialists to discuss the impacts of the public consultation and the next steps for companies operating in the sector.
The panel will feature Simone Vicentini, former deputy secretary of SPA and a key figure in the development of Brazil’s regulatory model; Fabiola Jaeger, CEO of Caleta Gaming and a recognised developer of games for the Latin American market; Fred Justo, director of AML and Integrity at Legitimuz; and Hugo Baungartner, Chief Business Officer at Esportes Gaming Brasil, the group behind Esportes da Sorte and Onabet. The discussion will be moderated by Valter Delfraro Júnior, Regulatory Affairs Director at Oddsgate.
According to Delfraro, the public consultation represents an important opportunity to strengthen the integrity and predictability of the regulated market.
“Supplier authorisation should be considered one of the pillars of the new regulatory environment. It ensures that only qualified companies committed to technical and ethical standards participate in the ecosystem, reducing systemic risks and reinforcing the confidence of operators, investors and players,” he said.
He added that establishing clear criteria for suppliers will also enhance the regulator’s oversight capacity, strengthen barriers against illegal activity and raise governance standards across the sector.
The formal authorisation of providers is also expected to consolidate key consumer protection practices, including data security and traceability, protection of personal information, safeguarding of balances and betting histories, integration of responsible gaming mechanisms, and stronger anti-money laundering policies.
“When these measures move from being merely best practices to becoming part of the regulatory framework, the entire system gains greater transparency and credibility,” Delfraro noted.
The regulation is also expected to stimulate economic development and technological innovation by reducing legal uncertainty and increasing predictability for companies looking to invest in Brazil.
Oddsgate’s role in Brazil’s regulatory evolution
With operations in regulated markets and a growing presence in Brazil, Oddsgate has been closely following the country’s regulatory developments and advocates for the creation of a competitive, transparent environment aligned with international best practices.
Since the start of the regulatory process, the company has supported initiatives aimed at strengthening industry integrity, protecting players and promoting responsible gaming practices. It also provides support to its clients as they adapt to regulatory requirements, technical standards and compliance mechanisms.
As part of this ongoing effort, Oddsgate recently launched Brasil On Track, a platform dedicated to gathering regulatory updates, analysis and a timeline of the key milestones in the development of Brazil’s betting regulation, helping companies better understand and navigate the market.
“Supplier authorisation should not be seen as a bureaucratic obstacle, but as an essential governance structure. A strong regulated market depends on clear rules, fair competitive conditions and a collective commitment to system integrity,” Delfraro said.
The upcoming webinar aims to complement these efforts by helping industry stakeholders better understand the regulatory changes affecting different segments of the market.
Webinar to foster technical debate
The webinar “B2B on SPA’s Radar: The Role of Suppliers in the Regulatory Process” forms part of Oddsgate’s broader initiative to promote dialogue and provide clarity to the market.
During the event, experts will discuss the impacts of Public Consultation No. 1/2026, the technical challenges involved in supplier authorisation, and the international best practices that could guide the development of Brazil’s regulatory model.
The goal is to foster a qualified technical debate and contribute to building a safer, more transparent and sustainable regulatory environment for Brazil’s betting industry.
