At the same time, the Ministry of Finance’s Secretary of Prizes and Betting (SPA/MF) recently shared preliminary details with the National Association of Legal Games (Associação Nacional dos Jogos Legais, ANJL) regarding a future interministerial ordinance focused on platform design, user experience (UX), and online game certification.

Together, these two developments reveal the direction Brazilian regulation is expected to take in the coming months: on one hand, an update already undergoing public consultation; on the other, indications of a future rule likely to raise standards regarding player experience and the integrity of the games offered.
