Ocean Casino Resort to open casino floor expansion
Ocean Casino Resort has announced the opening of a 12,000-square-foot venue named The Gallery Bar, Book & Games.
US.- Ocean Casino Resort, in Atlantic City, has announced the opening of The Gallery Bar, Book & Games. The 12,000-square-foot venue will open this summer and will complete Ocean’s recent $25m casino floor renovation.
The Gallery will feature a 100-foot elevated bar and lounge, with 140 feet of LED walls and will include 59 seats and 12 slot machines. Blackjack and roulette tables will surround the bar. There will be a balcony bar with a VIP sportsbook experience.
Bill Callahan, general manager for Ocean Casino Resort, said: “Ocean is dedicated to being the premier gaming destination in the Atlantic City market. This new venue will enhance the guest experience by providing an unbeatable atmosphere right in the heart of the casino floor.”
Ocean’s $75m resort investment covered the addition of 460 guest rooms and suites and over $15m in property improvements, which included a redesigned casino floor and the addition of three new high-limit venues.
In early March, Elys Game Technology´s subsidiary US Bookmaking was approved to operate Ocean Casino Resort’s sportsbook. It was approved for a six-month licence by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE).
In February, the resort appointed Bill Callahan as general manager. Callahan had been interim chief executive officer since November 2021.
