Ocean Casino Resort names new CEO

Terry Glebocki has been confirmed as CEO of Ocean Casino Resort, where she has been interim since August.

US.- Ocean Casino Resort has announced that Terry Glebocki is the casino’s new CEO. The executive has been interim CEO since August, and brings over 30 years of financial management experience to the Atlantic City facility.

Glebocki was Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Ocean’s previous facility, Revel Casino. She also worked at Tropicana Entertainment and Tump Entertainment Resorts. She also worked at Bally’s in an internal auditing job, New Haven Register reported.

“I’m so excited about this. I like to think that I’m qualified for this job, whether I’m a man or a woman. But I do think I bring a different perspective to things. I like when there’s diversity in the team,” she said.

“I’m a detail-oriented person,” she said. “I look just as closely at a US$1,000 expenditure as I do at a US$1 million expenditure,” she added.

Ocean breaks partnership with Hyatt

Ocean Casino Resort and Hyatt Hotels Corp. have ended their partnership, but the hotel will continue with normal business operations until December 31, according to the hotel’s website.

Press of Atlantic City first reported that the Hyatt website released a statement in which it said that Ocean Casino will no longer be operated as a Hyatt-affiliate hotel or within The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand. The statement in the website says that the hotel will continue operating normally until December 31, 2019.

The Ocean Casino Resort-Hyatt partnership was one of the first ones for the facility before its rebrand and reopening in June 2018. The opening of the casino was a boost for the city, which has recorded good results in recent months.
