NY approves four upstate casinos
The final legislation phase closed with the approval of table games.
US.- New York is ready to develop its four new casinos with the approval of the final phase of the process. Earlier this year, upstate legislators granted four casinos licenses to Montreign Resort Casino in Sullivan, Lago Resort & Casino in Seneca and Rivers Casino & Resort in Schenectady and Tioga Downs racetrack in New York’s Southern Tier.
The New York Gaming Commission concluded the gaming expansion with the approval of table games for the four new venues, which are expected to be open by the end of November. According to Jeff Gural, owner of Tioga Downs racetrack, the company is ready to start its operations this month, after the remodelling of the gaming centre. Tioga Downs will offer new services in its latest a Las-Vegas-Style casino.
The Gaming Commission will be issuing the complete legislation in the following weeks in order to begin the new operations. The table games approved on Tuesday include poker, roulette and craps. The upstate casinos would have a direct competition if New Jersey approves the expansion of casino zones outside Atlantic City.
