Senator Addabbo says New York is ready for “serious discussions” on igaming legalisation
New York senator Joseph Addabbo Jr. has said that the state is ready for “serious discussions” about igaming. The chair of the Senate’s Racing, Gaming, and Wagering Committee said in a statement that with downstate casino licensing progressing to the final stage and his proposed ban on sweepstakes signed this month, the state is better positioned to discuss the potential legalisation of online casinos.
He said: “Signing my bill into law is not the end of the conversation, but rather a necessary step toward responsible modernization of New York’s online gaming landscape.”
