New York mobile sports betting revenue declines in June after May’s record
Mobile sports betting revenue was still up 65.2 per cent year-over-year.
US.- The New York State Gaming Commission (NYSGC) has reported that mobile sports betting operators generated $206.5m in gaming gross revenue (GGR) in June. That’s a rise of 65.2 per cent year-over-year but down 17 per cent from May’s record.
The sports betting handle totalled $1.6bn, up 12 per cent year-over-year and down 25.4 per cent from May. It was the lowest monthly total since $1.45bn in August 2024.
FanDuel led the market with $86.3m in revenue from a $563.7m handle. DraftKings reported a handle of $607m and revenue of $69.8m, Fanatics took $17.3m in revenue from $151.7m in bets, Caesars $13.8m in from $152.3m and BetMGM $11.9m from $116.7m.
NYSGC receives eight casino applications
The NYSGC has received eight applications for up to three casino licences in the state. Through the summer, Committees will hold public hearings to gauge support and/or opposition to projects and will vote on whether to advance the project to the board. The board will select the winning projects by December 1.
