New York mobile sports betting revenue climbs in April
The state’s online sportsbooks reported $192.7m in revenue.
US.- New York’s mobile sports betting handle was $2.15bn in April, a 9.6 per cent increase year-on-year, but 11.8 per cent behind March 2025’s handle of $2.44bn. The New York Gaming Commission reported that operators generated $192.7m in revenue, up 19.1 per cent month-on-month from March’s $161.8m and 4.8 per cent ahead of April 2024 ($183.8m).
FanDuel regained the lead, taking $84.8m in revenue from a $822.5m handle. DraftKings followed, reporting $66.8m from $727.3m in bets. Caesars Sportsbook generated $15.1m from a $189.6m handle and BetMGM $11.6m from $160.4m.
In March, the New York State Senate passed Senate Bill S.3632, which aims to establish a Problem Gambling Advisory Council to improve awareness, prevention, and treatment services in the state. The bill is co-sponsored by Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr., chair of the Senate Racing, Gaming, and Wagering Committee. It would establish a council to “make findings and recommendations to the Governor and Legislature on how to prevent and treat problem gambling in the State of New York.”
