New Jersey gaming revenue rises by 15.9 per cent in December
Revenue reached $605.6m.
US.- The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement has announced that total gaming revenue from casinos, racetracks, and their partners reached $605.6m in December. This figure represents an increase of 15.9 per cent year-on-year, though it is a decrease of 4.9 per cent compared to November 2025.
Casino win for the nine properties stood at $216.1m, a drop of 6.7 per cent compared to the same period in December 2024. However, the vertical was offset by online gaming win, which totalled $273.2m, up 19.8 per cent year-on-year. Sports betting gross revenue reached $116.3m, an increase of 85 per cent. Total gross revenue taxes for the month were $89.9m.
According to the report, year-to-date gaming revenue reached $6.98bn, a rise of 10.8 per cent, with total taxes amounting to $884.1m. Year-to-date casino win was $2.89bn, up 2.7 per cent, while online gaming win reached $2.91bn, an increase of 22 per cent. Sports betting gross revenue for the year totalled $1.18bn, up 7.5 per cent compared to 2024.
Recently, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy signed a bill requiring state-run schools to work with the Council on Compulsive Gambling to raise awareness of gambling risks. The proposal passed both chambers unanimously.
Under bill A1715/S3184, all public colleges, universities, and community colleges in the state are required to invite and facilitate the presence of the Council on Compulsive Gambling of New Jersey on their campuses at least once per semester.
