Nevada casinos hit $1bn revenue for 7th month

It’s the second-longest streak in history for Nevada casinos to surpass $1bn in revenue.

US.- The Nevada Gaming Control Board has released September revenue figures, and they show Nevada’s casinos continue a strong streak, posting revenue of $1.16bn. That’s a 41 per cent increase over September 2020, when licensees reported a gaming win of $820.9m, and the seventh month in a row that revenue surpassed $1bn.

Last month’s revenue also came in at 9.4 per cent higher than September 2019 pre-pandemic, when the state reached $1.06bn. In all, Nevada collected $72.9m in percentage fees based on the taxable revenue generated in September 2021.

Clark County reported $1bn in revenue for the fifth month of the last six. On the Las Vegas Strip, casinos reported a gaming win of $640.6m, up more than 80 per cent compared to the same month in 2020. For the fiscal year so far (July 1, 2021, through September 30, 2021), gaming win is up 58.7 per cent.
