MontBleu Casino Resort and Spa Casino renamed as Bally’s Lake Tahoe
The new name is part of the rebranding process for the Lake Tahoe property.
US.- MontBleu Casino Resort & Spa Casino has been officially renamed as Bally’s Lake Tahoe. The new name comes after Bally’s Corporation acquisition of the Nevada venue, which was previously owned by Caesars Entertainment.
According to a press release from Bally’s, the property-wide rebrand is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2022. The transformation is expected to include new dice, cards, gaming chips, and table game layouts as well as interior and exterior signage.
George Papanier, Bally’s president, said: “We are proud to bring the Bally’s brand to Lake Tahoe, and it’s an exciting time for our customers and team members. I’d like to thank the State of Nevada for its collaboration throughout this process, and I’d also like to recognize our team members for their contributions to this significant endeavor.”
Papanier also said that capital improvement plans are under development to enhance the property and complement the Tahoe South Events Center project which broke ground in July 2020 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2022.
The Douglas County Liquor Board approved the name change on July 1, at the request of CEO Greg Vorreyer and executive Timothy Tretton, who has served as general manager of the Stateline, Nevada, casino resort since 2015.
At that time, Vorreyer said: “MontBleu is a premier entertainment asset that is commensurate with the iconic Bally’s brand, and advances our ongoing portfolio diversification strategy.
“With the close of this transaction, we look forward to integrating the property into the Bally’s family, and utilizing it as an attractive destination for our loyal Bally’s customers to drive visitation to Lake Tahoe.”
