Mohegan Gaming names Nelson Parker as SVP of strategic development
In his new role, Parker will identify, assess and execute growth opportunities and strategic new ventures.
US.- Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment (MGE) has named Nelson Parker as senior vice president (SVP) of strategic development. Parker will report directly to Carol Anderson, senior vice president and chief financial officer of MGE. The company said he will identify, assess and execute growth opportunities and strategic new ventures.
Parker has experience in leading complex multi-party transactions and hotel and casino development projects. Prior to joining MGE, he served as managing director at Driftwood Capital, a private equity fund focused on hospitality investments.
He has also worked as senior vice president of corporate development at Penn National Gaming, senior vice president of hotel and casino development at Hard Rock International, vice president of development at Foxwoods Resort Casino, and corporate director of development at Argosy Gaming.

Mohegan Gaming recently named Raymond Lin as chief legal officer. Reporting directly to president and CEO Ray Pineault, Lin will oversee all legal and compliance affairs and operations across the group’s national and international properties.
Lin will be responsible for advising executive management on legal matters that include commercial transactions, regulatory issues, international and domestic policy-making decisions, and formulating business, operational and legal strategies.
Pennsylvania Mohegan Sun Pocono to open new attractions
Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment has announced the debut of three new features, including Topgolf Swing Suites, as part of a multi-million dollar capital improvement project at Mohegan Sun Pocono in Pennsylvania venue this year.
In late April, it will open a new outdoor terrace bar, Embers Terrace. This new offering will be home to Adirondack-style seating, fire pits, live weekend entertainment, dining options, and a drink menu.
