Mohegan appoints Joe Soper as vice president of sports and entertainment

Soper will oversee strategy and programming for Mohegan Sun’s entertainment.

US.- Mohegan has named Joe Soper as vice president of sports and entertainment. He will oversee programming for Mohegan Sun’s entertainment across a portfolio that includes Mohegan Pennsylvania, Fallsview Casino Resort and Casino Niagara.

Soper returns following his service on the Mohegan Tribal Council, where he has held the role of corresponding secretary since 2019. He spent 15 years at Mohegan Sun, first as a senior financial analyst and then as director of sports and entertainment.

​​As VP of sports and entertainment​, Soper will oversee the strategic direction and day-to-day programming of entertainment and play a role in strengthening industry partnerships. He will work with promoters like Live Nation, music agencies such as CAA and WME, and major sports and entertainment organisations, including WWE.

In January, Mohegan announced the promotion of Guy Greene to chief marketing officer (CMO) for its igaming division, Mohegan Digital. In his new role, Greene leads strategies and oversees the marketing and advertising teams supporting the operator’s online gaming portfolio.

Mohegan Tribal Gaming’s Q1 net revenue was $434.5m, down 0.2 per cent from the same period in 2024.
