Michigan regulator issues cease-and-desist letters to more unlicensed operators
MGCB stated that entities that ignore the letters could face additional enforcement measures.
US.- The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has issued 12 cease-and-desist letters to offshore gambling operators illegally offering online gaming and sports betting to residents. The letters were sent to the operators of 31 Bets Casino, Betnuvo, BetPhoenix, Booty.bet, Jackpotter, Kings Chance Casino, Mybitcoin Casino, Starbets, The Virtual Casino, This Is Vegas, Vegas Strip Casino and xWin90.
The regulator said entities that ignore cease-and-desist letters could face additional enforcement measures. Under the Lawful Internet Gaming Act, Lawful Sports Betting Act, and related state statutes, companies must be licensed to offer online gaming or sports wagering in the state.
MGCB executive director Henry Williams said: “Illegal online gambling sites operate without oversight, putting players at risk and undermining Michigan’s secure, regulated marketplace. We will continue to take relentless, decisive action to prevent unlicensed operators from targeting Michigan residents and ensure that all gaming is conducted lawfully and responsibly.”

The MGCB has issued many other cease-and-desist letters.
