Michigan igaming revenue rises in December
Revenue increased 19.2 per cent compared to November.
US.- Michigan’s commercial and tribal online gaming operators reported a combined $399.8m in gross receipts from igaming and online sports betting in December. That’s an increase of 19.2 per cent compared to November.
Igaming gross receipts were a record $315.8m, surpassing the previous high of $278.5m recorded in October 2025. Gross sports betting receipts totalled $84m, down from November’s $87.3m.
According to the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB), combined igaming and online sports betting adjusted gross receipts (AGR) were $357.87m: $296.74m from igaming, up 27.2 per cent compared to the previous month, and $61.13m from online sports betting, down 5.6 per cent. Year-over-year, igaming AGR increased 35.1 per cent and sports betting was up by $60.9m.
The online sports betting handle was $512.9m, down 18.7 per cent from November’s $631.1m. Operators reported submitting $66.3m in taxes and payments. The three Detroit casinos reported paying the City of Detroit $15.2m in wagering taxes and municipal services fees. Tribal operators reported making $8.5m in payments to governing bodies.
Michigan igaming revenue increased in 2025
Michigan commercial and tribal operators reported a combined $3.8bn in igaming gross receipts and gross sports betting receipts in 2025: $3.1bn from igaming and $671.3m from online sports betting. That’s up 29.5 per cent compared to 2024.
Combined igaming and online sports betting adjusted gross receipts (AGR) were $3.3bn, an increase of 39.5 per cent. Of the total, $2.9bn came from igaming and $435.9m from online sports betting. The handle was $5.4bn. Operators paid $624.6m in taxes and payments.
The three Detroit casinos reported paying the City of Detroit $161.4m in wagering taxes and municipal services fees, and tribal operators reported making $71.9m in payments to governing bodies.
