Miccosukee Casino & Resort hosts groundbreaking ceremony for $40m expansion project

Tribal leadership, community members, and project partners participated in the event.

US.- The Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida has held a groundbreaking ceremony launching a phased $40m expansion at Miccosukee Casino & Resort. Tribal leadership, community members, and project partners participated in the event in the resort’s courtyard.

The ceremony included a traditional blessing, remarks from tribal and property leaders, and a symbolic turning of the earth alongside Arcadis, Dade Construction, EDSA, and Martin Aquatic representatives. During the event, renderings and videos were presented to show the first phase of the expansion, which includes a pool and lazy river, and a entertainment facility.

Chairman Talbert Cypress of the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida said: “This groundbreaking is a testament to our tribe’s strength and forward-thinking spirit. Each shovel of earth turned is a symbol of our commitment to the next generation and to the enduring Miccosukee legacy.”
