Maryland casino revenue rebounds in May

Revenue increased year-on-year and month-on-month.

US.- Maryland’s six casinos generated $176.4m in gaming revenue in May, up 1.9 per cent compared to May 2024 and 8.5 per cent from April. The rise comes after decreases in March and April

The Maryland Lottery and Gaming Commission reported that MGM National Harbor generated $75.4m. It was followed by Live! Casino & Hotel, with $63.8m. Horseshoe Casino Baltimore generated $15.2m, Hollywood Casino Perryville $8.3m, Ocean Downs Casino $8.7m and Rocky Gap Casino $4.9m. 

Hollywood Casino saw the most significant increase compared to May 2024, up 6.4 per cent year-on-year, while Horseshoe Casino Baltimore saw a slight decrease, down 1.8 per cent year-on-year. Casino gaming contributions to the state totalled $76.1m, an increase of 2.2 per cent compared to May 2024. Contributions to the Education Trust Fund were $54.9m, also up 2.2 per cent year-on-year.
