Maryland casino revenue decreases in December
Revenue decreased 2.6 per cent year-over-year.
US.- Maryland’s six casinos generated $159.7m in revenue from slot machines and table games in December. That’s a decrease of 2.6 per cent year-over-year and almost flat month-on-month.
According to the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Commission, MGM National Harbor led the market with $68.4m in revenue, down 7.2 per cent year-over-year. It was followed by Live! Casino & Hotel, with revenue of $58.8m, down 0.3 per cent.
Horseshoe Casino reported $14.9m in revenue, up 12.2 per cent from the same period in 2024. Hollywood Casino posted $6.8m, down 2.1 per cent, Ocean Downs Casino $6.8m, down 3.3 per cent, and Rocky Gap Casino $4m, an increase of 1.4 per cent.
Casino gaming contributions to the state totalled $67.9m in the last month of the year, a decrease of 2.8 per cent compared to December 2024. That included $49m to the Education Trust Fund, down 2.8 per cent.
Through the first six months of fiscal year 2026 (July 2025 through December 2025), casino gaming revenue was $968m, down 1.8 per cent compared to the same period in fiscal year 2025. Contributions to the state were $415.6m, down 1.5 per cent year-over-year.
