Macau operators to improve security

The six operators in the city agreed to work with the Judiciary Police in order to improve security measures in case of an attack.

Macau.- The government of Macau revealed in a press release that the six casino operators in the city agreed to work with the Judiciary Police on how to act in case there is an attack at one of the casinos, even if they didn’t specifically mention the events that took place in Las Vegas or in the Philippines earlier this year.

Director of Macau’s Judiciary Police, Chau Wai Kuong, said that whilst Macau has lower chances of getting attacked, they shouldn’t let their guard down. The Director said that the purpose of the teams that will work with casino operators is that they can handle a situation speedily when encountering any ad hoc incident before the police arrives on site. These measures can help reduce the casualties or injuries.

The Judiciary Police along with the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau will work along with the casino representatives as they agreed to conduct a simulation. The meeting took place to the operators could update the authorities on which measures they adopted after the attacks in other gaming hubs.
