Lucky Dragon casino shuts down temporarily
Operators of Lucky Dragon casino in Las Vegas has announced the closure of the property due to reorganisation.
US.- Lucky Dragon casino operations have been suspended as the company decided to close the salon due to reorganisation of activities. Furthermore, operators of the newest Las Vegas gaming salon also announced the suspension of the restaurant’s services, whilst they have laid off some staff members.
“While this is a difficult decision, this repositioning paves the way for Lucky Dragon to establish new partnerships that will enhance the property’s long-term positioning and provide a better guest experience,” the statement read.
The casino announced the renovations last year, and revealed that the second floor will be converted to another Macau themed VIP lounge. Furthermore, Lucky Dragon now features a rolling chip VIP customer reward program that is popular in Macau. Las Vegas Sun reported that Jordan Seager, VP of marketing of Lucky Dragon, said that they have had a much stronger VIP segment than what they anticipated and that affects obviously their overall business.
“That’s why we have expanded the VIP segment (of the casino floor) specifically because our current VIP business has a need for the additional area. If we had anticipated that six months prior we might have changed that from the beginning but that’s not a bad thing to have happen,” he added.
