Live! Casino Salem opens in New Hampshire
The venue is opening with historical horse racing games, table games and poker.
US.- Live! Casino Salem opens today (July 9) at The Mall at Rockingham Park in Salem, New Hampshire. The venue will open in phases, beginning with new historical horse racing (HHR) games, table games and poker, quick service food options and a bar.
The new casino is located at the former site of Lord & Taylor department store, which has been mostly vacant since the end of 2020. The company said that the project would revitalise the space and become a significant regional destination.
Joe Faro and Sal Lupoli, co-owners of Casino Salem, said: “We are thrilled to open Casino Salem and bring an exciting new amenity to Salem. With this initial phase, we are able to drive economic stimulus to our local economy, create new jobs, and increase tourism immediately, setting the foundation to create lasting benefits for the community for decades.”
Jeff Favre, executive VP of Casino Salem, added: “By opening the casino in phases, we can expedite the addition of charitable gaming to the entertainment and tourism assets that Salem has to offer in addition to generating contributions to organizations in need. The Mall at Rockingham Park, along with Tuscan Village, already draw visitors from throughout New England, and the addition of Casino Salem will add another dynamic attraction.”

The $160m, three-storey casino will feature over 900 historic racing machines, more than 40 gambling tables, including poker, a cinema, event space, a sports lounge, golf simulators and retail shops.
The Hampton Zoning Board of Adjustment recently voted 4-1 to approve the expansion of the charitable gaming room at the Aces and Eights Casino, on Hampton Beach, New Hampshire. Charitable gaming currently operates on the building’s first floor, but a special exception granted by the board will allow more than double the space, increasing the gaming area from about 8,000 square feet to 31,000 square feet.
