Live! Casino Pittsburg announces opening date
The casino will host charity events and a ribbon-cutting ceremony prior to opening on November 24.
US.- Live! Casino in Pittsburg has announced it will open at 6am on November 24, providing it gains approval from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
Prior to the grand opening, the venue will host a handful of private charity events for the Westmoreland County Food Bank. It will also hold a ribbon-cutting event on November 17.
The $150m new casino, which is located in the Westmoreland Mall, will host 750 slot machines and 30 table games.
General Manager of the property, Sean Sullivan, said: “We’re going ‘Live!’ to the general public on November 24. Live! Casino is the latest world-class venue to be opened by The Cordish Companies. It’s going to up the ante on entertainment for everyone in the Greater Pittsburgh region.”
With the property opening amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, it will be following the company’s “Play It Safe” plan, which enforces use of masks, temperature checks, social distancing and extensive cleaning of slot machines and table games.
Sullivan said: “Our priority is to provide a safe environment for our Team Members and guests. We’ve gone through extraordinary measures to meet and exceed the state’s Covid-19 guidelines to ensure all of our guests have fun and feel safe.”
Live! Casino announced plans to recruit more than 500 new employees for the venue despite the pandemic.
