Las Vegas’ Durango Casino & Resort opens new high-limit slot room

The new high-limit slot room spans over 8,000 square feet of gaming and indoor and outdoor lounge space.

US.- Durango Casino & Resort in Las Vegas has opened a new high-limit slot room along with a multi-level covered garage as part of the first phase of its expansion.

The new high-limit slot room spans over 8,000 square feet of gaming and indoor and outdoor lounge space. It has 120 high-limit slot machines, including 30 new titles, and has 16 multi-game bartop machines.

The room also has a 16-seat round bar with a hanging circular LED TV. garage that introduces nearly 2,000 additional parking and valet spaces. As all Station Casinos properties, parking and valet are free.

The resort occupies 71 acres on South Durango Drive near the 215 Beltway. Its newly extended casino floor, which opened on November 7, added over 6,000 square feet of gaming space.

Las Vegas visits decline in October

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) reported that 3.4 million people visited Las Vegas in October. That’s a decrease of 4.4 per cent from 3.56 million in the same month in 2024. In September 2025, 3.09 million people visited the city.

Hotel occupancy was 83.7 per cent, down 2 points, and the average daily rate (ADR) was $205, a decrease of 6 per cent year-over-year. The weekend occupancy rate was 92.7 per cent, down 1.9 points. Hotel occupancy on The Strip was 86 per cent, down from 87.8 per cent in October 2024, while Downtown occupancy was 75.2 per cent, down from 80.4 per cent.
