Las Vegas bars resume operations

Las Vegas bars resume operations

Bars were permitted to reopen for a brief period back in June but were closed again by July 10.

US.- Las Vegas bars, including those at casinos, have resumed operations after being closed by the authorities due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The bars were initially closed along with many other properties back in March on the orders of governor Steve Sisolak.

They were authorised to reopen briefly in June, but Gov. Sisolak released an emergency order on July 10 obliging bars across seven counties to close again, including Clark County, where Las Vegas in located.

Casino operators are hoping the opening of bars could bring more casual bettors to their venues and make up for some of the losses experienced due to lack of tourism and reduced capacities.

According to a report by Macquarie Group, Las Vegas will have to wait until 2023 to see a full economic recovery from the pandemic.
