Kaizen appoints group marketing director

The Greek operator behind Stoiximan and Betano has appointed Ioannis Koutrakos as group marketing director.

Greece.- The rebranded Greek gambling operator Kaizen Gaming has appointed Ioannis Koutrakos as marketing director for the group.

Reporting to chief marketing officer Panos Constantopoulos, Koutrakos will be responsible for marketing and communications for both the Stoiximan and Betano brands in all markets.

He joins Kaizen from Microsoft, where he served as chief marketing officer for Greece, Cyprus and Malta. Prior to that, he spent a stint at Google as product marketing manager EMEA.

He said: “Kaizen Gaming has demonstrated an impressively fast paced growth among the industry leaders, having achieved significant accomplishments and recognition.

“My ambition is to be part of a team that will become even greater at all markets, while keeping the high quality standards in responsible communication it has already been recognised for.”

Koutrakos will replace Chris Tzalavras, who has been appointed head of commercial for the Stoiximan brand.

Kaizen’s chief marketing officer Panos Constantopoulos said: “We are really excited to welcome Ioannis to the Kaizen Gaming family and looking forward to see his wealth of experience incorporated in this key leadership position.”

The Greek gambling operator rebranded under the Kaizen name in July, creating a new umbrella identity overseeing Stoiximan in Greece and Cyprus, and Betano in Germany, Portugal, Romania and Brazil.

The rebranding came after Greek gaming giant OPAP entered an agreement in April to up its stake in the Greek and Cypriot side of the business to 84.49 per cent.
