JACK Cleveland Casino opens new poker room
The Ohio casino has unveiled its upgraded poker room, which features 26 poker tables.
US.- JACK Cleveland Casino has unveiled a revamped and much more prominent poker room. The venue’s had a poker room since it opened as a Horseshoe casino in 2012, but it was somewhat hidden on the third floor.
The upgraded poker room covers 6,400 square feet and features 26 poker tables. It hosts cash games and daily tournaments, featuring buy-ins for players with different levels of experience.
Chris Lose, poker room manager for JACK Cleveland Casino said: “Our Grand Opening weekend was a major success for not only JACK but our poker community. Hosting an event at this caliber, we were able to achieve something that hasn’t been done in our area before. We saw players come in from all over to play in our room and overwhelmingly had a great time.”
On the opening night, the casino gave away $75,000 in high-hand bonuses and tournament entries. Poker After Dark host Veronica Brill made an appearance.
“We are confident that the success of this weekend will put our community on the national stage in poker,” said Lose.
Ohio casino revenue in March
The Ohio Casino Control Commission and the Ohio Lottery have reported that the state’s eleven licensed casinos and racinos brought in more than $216m in March. The figure sets a new record for the month, surpassing the $215.9m generated in March 2021 – the previous state record.
The figure reported for March marked a 17 per cent increase month-on-month. Licensed casinos took $93.3m, while racinos reported $122.9m. Jack Cleveland Casino reported the highest revenue at $24.5m. Hollywood Columbus Casino came second with $23.4m. Hard Rock Cincinnati Casino reported $22.9m and Hollywood Toledo Casino $22.4m.
