Indiana publishes casino reports
Northwest Indiana’s casinos released their latest financial reports.
US.- Indiana State’s gaming authorities shared this week the Northwest Indiana’s casinos reports on financial activities addressing June’s operations. According to the official results, the popular Region casinos of the State have achieved US$76 million at their table games and slot machines last month.
Compared to June 2017 reports, Northwest Indiana’s casino’s growth marked a 1.1 per cent increase. Meanwhile, the US$478.5 million that the Region casinos have achieved in total until July was 0.6 per cent below compared to operations a year ago. “We do think the slot growth is a result of a continued focus on putting the newest and hottest slots out,” said Horseshoe Casino Vice President and Assistant General Manager, Noah Hirsch.
Meanwhile, as the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) revoked the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA) of 1992 through a historical ruling and opened the door on sports betting on a federal level, casino operators in Northwest Indiana celebrated the decision. Companies in the area expressed their approval as it allows them to reach out to a new group of gamblers and said they will now wait for Indiana lawmakers to legalise the segment.
