Holland Casino and ESPN in responsible gambling drive
The land-based casino chain Holland Casino is teaming up with the Netherlands top two football leagues and ESPN to promote responsible gambling.
The Netherlands.- The state-owned casino chain Holland Casino has partnered with the Netherlands’ top football leagues Eredivisie and Keuken Kampioen Divisie and the broadcaster ESPN for a new initiative that will promote responsible gambling.
The four-year programme will begin during the new 2021-22 football season. The land-based casino operator will work with ESPN and the national league on a range of projects that aim to encourage safer gambling.
ESPN, which broadcasts Eredivisie and Keuken Kampioen Divisie matches, will jointly develop content with the casino operator.
The launch of the initiative has been scheduled to coincide with the opening of the Netherlands’ regulated online gambling market, which is due to finally go live October 1. The opening of the licensed online market will see Holland Casino expand its offering to include online casino.
The new initiative will also see Holland Casino become a responsible betting partner for Dutch football.
