Exclusive interview.- Hayk Sargsyan, Galaxsys CEO, granted an exclusive interview to Focus Gaming News to talk about the company’s recent decision to move into the slot vertical. What inspired Galaxsys to make that move? What makes each new title unique?, And what can players expect from the upcoming titles? All those answers can be found in the following interview with Sargsyan.
Galaxsys is well known for its innovative approach to fast and skill-based games. What inspired the move into the slot vertical, and why now?
We’re always looking for new ways to challenge ourselves and expand our portfolio. The decision to move into the slot vertical was a natural next step, driven by both market demand and internal ambition. Throughout the years, we’ve built a strong reputation in fast and skill games—now we’re bringing that experience and industry knowledge to slots. With a strong team in place and a growing global presence, the timing felt right to diversify and bring fresh content into our award-winning portfolio. Besides, by entering this space, we can now appeal to a broader audience and become a more versatile provider.

You’ve recently launched three new slot games – El Dorado, Funny Faces: Hoglet-Moglet, and Olympian Legends. Can you tell us about the creative vision behind these titles? What makes each one unique?
Each of these titles reflects a distinct creative direction and showcases the diversity we aim to bring to the slot space.
El Dorado takes players on an adventurous journey to the legendary Golden City, packed with hidden treasures and striking visuals that capture the spirit of discovery. Funny Faces: Hoglet-Moglet adds a dose of humour and charm with its quirky characters and animations. A standout feature is the Hoglet-Dice, which triggers additional moves along a track that encircles the playing board. Olympian Legends focuses on ancient mythology, featuring gods, heroes, and epic tales. With cascading symbols and exciting bonus features, it delivers fast-paced and high-energy gameplay.
I believe these games and the upcoming releases reflect our commitment to variety and delivering fresh, entertaining slot experiences.
How does Galaxsys plan to position itself in the competitive slots market, and what kind of player experience are you aiming to deliver?
We’re focused on delivering high-quality, distinctive games that blend eye-catching design, bold themes, and player-first features. Whether it’s through fast-paced bonus rounds, gamified elements, or immersive worlds, every Galaxsys slot is crafted to be an experience, not just another spin. Our goal is to be the go-to studio for operators seeking something both unique and universally appealing, with strong player engagement and high retention rates.

What have been some of the biggest challenges during the transition from crash and skill games to developing slot content, and how did your team overcome them?
As with any new direction, we started with research and a clear plan. Moving into slots meant stepping into a space with its own style, player expectations, and creative demands. One of the biggest challenges was finding the right balance between staying true to our identity and adapting to a new format.
What helped was our team’s openness to learning and collaboration. We listened to feedback, studied the market, and stayed focused on creating games that feel fresh, engaging, and distinct.

What role do markets like LatAm, Asia, or Europe play in your slot expansion strategy? Are any of these titles tailored for specific regional audiences?
We generally focus on creating games that appeal to players worldwide. While our titles feature universal themes, we recognise that each region has its own unique preferences and cultural nuances. LatAm, Asia, and Europe are key components of our strategy this year. Before launching our slots, we made sure to engage with our major partners and listen to their feedback. In some cases, we’re open to customising elements of our games—whether it’s visual design, features, or themes—to better align with regional tastes and expectations, ensuring an enjoyable experience for players everywhere.
Finally, what can we expect next from Galaxsys? Is this just the beginning of a full-fledged slot portfolio?
This is just the beginning. We’ve only scratched the surface of what we want to accomplish in the slot space. We’re bringing the same focus on innovation and player engagement to our slots as we’ve done with the rest of our portfolio. While slots come with their own unique dynamics, our core goal remains unchanged: to create engaging, high-quality experiences that keep players coming back.
This year, expanding our slots portfolio is a major priority, as we see tremendous potential in this category. That said, we’re not slowing down in other areas. We also have new updates coming for our fast games portfolio, along with new promotional tools designed to boost player engagement and better support our partners.
