Hard Rock rehires employees
Hard Rock International would rehire former Trump Taj Mahal’s employees in Atlantic City.
US.- Hard Rock has moved a step forward towards the inauguration of its new casino in Atlantic City, which it used to be the touristic Taj Mahal Casino, operated by current President of the United States Donald Trump’s company. The American company allegedly revealed its intentions of hiring former employees.
“Come work for us,” was the message sent by operators of Hard Rock Casino & Hotel Atlantic City to the “former team members at the Trump Taj Mahal & Casino who were employed at least 30 days before the property closed” in October 2016. Hard Rock Casino & Hotel Atlantic City plans to open this summer.
2018 summer opening might include a restaurant and poolside gambling, fantasy sports betting, skill-based slots and hidden VIP gambling rooms. During a conference earlier this year, Chairman of Hard Rock International Jim Allen said that the proposal is set to create more than 1,000 construction jobs and once it’s finalised, additional 3,000 permanent jobs will be set in place.
The opening would also include approximately 2,400 slots and 130 gaming tables. According to documents filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Hard Rock International paid US$50 million for the Trump Taj Mahal. Billionaire Carl Icahn got for the Atlantic City-based casino just 4 cents on the dollar in comparison to the US$1.2 billion it had cost to Donald Trump in 1990.
