US.- Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa has named Albert Geldres as its new vice president of slot operations. He has 17 years of experience in the gaming industry, having started as a P&A analyst for Caesars Entertainment at the Horseshoe Hammond in Indiana.

He was promoted to director of slot operations at the Horsehoe and helped lead the expansion of the casino floor as part of a $485m expansion in 2008. He also served at Rush Street Gaming in the role of vice president of slots as part of the opening team for Rivers Casino in Des Plaines.

Following seven years at the Des Plaines property and a year as the corporate VP of gaming with Rush Street, Geldres returned to a property leadership role in slots and built his knowledge of tribal gaming at Mystic Lake Casino in Prior Lake, Minnesota.

Outside the gaming industry, he actively volunteered with and supports medical charities in his family’s native Peru. He has also served on the board of directors at Horizons For Youth, a non-profit in Chicago that supports students in underserved communities with one-on-one mentoring.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City has updated its leadership team. It named Mark Vanderwielen as vice president of hotel operations.
