Gauselmann Group takes control of 35 arcades
Gauselmann takes over the commercial game branch of the Bührmann Group.
Press Release.- With effect from October 1, the East Westphalian Gauselmann Group is taking over the commercial game branch of the Bührmann Group.
The agreement includes the acquisition of the arcades operated by Bührmann A + I, Play Fair Casino and Co KG and Gerdes Spielkonzepte and Co.
The company acquired 35 arcades from its competitor, and it also adds 60 additional catering locations in Bremen and Lower Saxony, thereby increasing its presence in northern Germany.
The Bührmann Group is a third-generation owner-managed family business with roots in the Bremen region. The group of companies, consisting of several individual companies from the Bührmann group of companies, has successfully established itself in the essential areas of real estate, catering, events, casinos and refrigeration logistics.
The negotiation process spanned almost two years due to the pandemic, which forced both parties to interrupt talks on different occasions.
New management
Recently, gaming specialist Gauselmann has restructured its management team, that will operate from 1 October 2021, and announced several changes to be effective in the next few months.
The Management Board members and managing directors Jürgen Stühmeyer, Dr Werner Schroer and Lars Felderhoff are handing over the reins of day-to-day management to Dominik Raasch, Director of Product Management, Frank Gläser, Deputy Director of Research and Development and Jochen Clemens, Head of Finance and the company’s deputy CFO.
