Gateway Casinos appoints Queenie Wong as Chief Financial Officer
Wong has served in various financial roles at the operator during the last 10 years.
Canada.- Gateway Casinos & Entertainment has named Queenie Wong its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Wong is a long-time employee of the firm, having served in various finance roles since 2011.
Wong will continue to report directly to Tony Santo, the company’s CEO. Her new position is subject to regulatory approvals. Previously she worked in key finance roles such as the company’s Chief Accounting Officer and Senior Vice President of Finance.
Wong has worked on several transactions, including the company’s acquisition of Playtime Gaming, which added six properties to Gateway’s portfolio. She also assisted the company’s expansion into Ontario and collaborated during the company’s refinancing in October 2021.
Holding a Bachelor in Accounting from the University of British Columbia, Wong worked in the Audit and Assurance Group at multinational accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
Gateway’s CEO Tony Santo said: “Queenie’s leadership has been instrumental in facilitating Gateway’s growth across the company’s portfolio of properties and new developments, as well as being a strategic leader throughout the Covid recovery period.”
